Your Path to Becoming a Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
Turn lived experience into professional purpose.
Becoming a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) in Maryland involves more than completing a single training. Applicants must meet requirements for peer-specific education, hands-on service experience, supervision, and the certification application process. Time4Grace helps individuals understand those requirements and build a pathway based on what they have already completed and what they still need.
How Time4Grace Can Support Your Journey
You do not have to complete every step in the same place—or start from the beginning. Whether you are brand new to peer recovery, have already completed training, are working toward your required service hours, or need Registered Peer Supervisor (RPS) supervision, we can help you identify where you are and determine your next steps.
Time4Grace's training and workforce pathway may include CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and specialty trainings, Maryland-approved continuing education, harm reduction education, professional development, workforce readiness, and RPS supervision, based on your individual needs and current progress.
Good to Know: Additional application and documentation requirements apply, including proof of education. Time4Grace can help participants understand the certification process; final CPRS eligibility and certification are determined by MABPCB.
